Goons may not be eve's only superpower anymore, but they're still among the strongest single entities out there. (And lowsec doesn't meet the needs specifically because it's intended as a 'beginner's first sov experience'.)Īlso, I don't see why 'protected by a strong entity' is flawed. It also currently has residents, unlike most of querious. Period basis, on the other hand, you'll never get outsiders roaming in, which would make a 'fight club' a lot more boring. Given that goons are offering to protect the region from any outside sov attacks, there's no real downside to accessibility, at least for the sort of pvp-focused entities they want to attract who should want that sort of content faucet. It makes for easier logistics for members, and it encourages outside entities to drop by for fights. IMO querious being easily accessible is a plus. Capital escalation is limited and faxes are banned (as they totally warp small fights). Fozzie sov is mostly sidestepped and single point fights are encouraged. Tl dr rules: Sov warfare is replaced by 1 medium pos to control everything other than an alliance's home system. All members agree to the rules, non-member aggression will see a unified front of defense and help from The Imperium as needed to remove interlopers. Goal: The new Querious Fight Club is a mutual agreement designed to encourage fighting in a fun environment with all the consequences and excitement of nullsec without some of the tedium involved therein. So without further rambling I'm really proud to introduce Querious Fight Club 3.0: Living in null is about consequences but we feel like there can be an introductory set that doesn't mean if you make a mistake your entire alliance has to pull up stakes and move away). The goal of the QFC team is to implement the good parts of a fight club (you don't need a giant cap fleet to own null space, your very existence isn't threatened by annoying someone with a giant cap fleet) and get rid of some of the parts we didn't like (that it was more like a low-sec slap fight with no real goals or objectives and, frankly, no stakes at all. After being as annoying as possible I finally got carte blanche to do what I wanted with a QFC idea. There was a lot of discussion internally in The Imperium about what to do with Querious, a lot of our money guys wanted to go the rental route but that didn't appeal to me at all. At first I didn't like the idea of fight clubs but they've grown on me as I've thought about what they could do. Forward: So this is a project I've been working on for a while now.
